A message from Dr. Mary Beth Trubitt: I invite submissions for consideration in Volume 33 of the Caddo Archeology Journal to be published next spring (2023). The Caddo Archaeology Journal is published once a year in March. Members receive a copy of the 2023 journal with their 2022 membership dues. The journal publishes articles, reports on current research, comments, and book reviews related to archeology in the Caddo homelands of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas, as well as to the history, language, and culture of the Caddo people. We welcome reports of current activities of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma. Please submit manuscripts by November 15th to me at mtrubit@uark.edu. Articles should not normally exceed 10,000 words in length, including references. Reports should not exceed 5,000 words, including references. Prepare all submissions to follow the Society for American Archaeology’s 2021 Style Guide. Send submissions to me as a PDF file of the complete submission or as a Word file containing the abstract, text, references, table and figure captions, plus individual files of each figure (300 dpi) and/or table. After submission, article manuscripts will be sent out to a minimum of two reviewers, with reviewer comments requested within 30 days. Complete manuscripts (post-review/edits) should be finished by December 31st for placement in the 2023 volume.
